Edinburgh International Tango Festival!

Who would want to miss out on the inaugural International Tango festival in our beloved festive city?

If you're around during 23 - 26 May 2008, make sure to join in the workshops, milongas and live music hubub of the festival.

It's bound to be an amazing event, and it will feature renowned tango teachers from Buenos Aires, Paris, and Edinburgh itself:

Jenny Francis & Ricardo Oria

The finale, the Summer Ball featuring Orquesta Típica Fervor de Buenos Aires will be another unforgettable night, as all previous balls and events thrown by ETS has proven to be.

With over 20 workshops, they are welcome to beginners and advanced levels, so there's something for everyone. And dancing will ensue with multiple milongas sustained by the tunes of DJ Michiel Lombaers.

La Otra: Be White, Be Fun.

La Otra, on this saturday the 19th of January! A wonderful night of atmospheric dancing to great wonderful neo-tango music, great company, and fantastic food as usual.

9pm-1am, Marchmont St Giles Church, Kilgraston Road, £5 includes food and Mulled Wine (£4 without)



You'll see the church clock glowing in the midst of the dark, and don't worry, you'll see the signs too. Or keep an ear out for the tango music....

We Own the Night.

So these may be late, but so what? We Tangueros and Tangueras are well-acquainted with the fashionably late. So here it is, photographs from our first EUTS milonga of the year, very, very fashionably late to give you a nostalgic kickstart to the goodies in store for this semester. It's going to be a good one.
